The Terracotta warriors is an buried army of Qin Shi Huang Di. There are scupltures were built and buried over 20 Centuries ago close to the city of Xian. They were discovered in 1974 by farmers which were digging a well for water. Over 1,000 warriors were found and 6,000 remain still. Each warror is about 2 metres tall and are made out of clay.
Qin Shi Huang Di was buried with the Terracotta Army (Figures that potray the armies of Qin Shi Huang Di) and court and that is because he wanted to have he wanted to have the same amount of fame in the after life as he had enjoyed when he was on earth and he still wanted to be famous and remembered for all the improvements he made to the country and how without him China may have been weaker.
Sima Qian a great historian reports that construction of the terracotta army began when Qin Shi Huang Di started early on in his emperor reign. Because Huang Di ruled for 15 years the tomb could be massive. The sculptures are so lifelike and people can guess their age.
